Winter Check In

 Hi Readers, Family, and Friends, Hope everyone is settled after Christmas and New Year and enjoying the first month of winter!!! I wanted to check in and let everyone know how my January is going. As mentioned in the previous post, I started volunteering with NAMI. I will post more about that as I dive in a little more. I volunteer there again this Saturday. I start a parish renewal called The Search this Tuesday that I'm very excited about and will fill my readers in more as I dive into that as well.  What I really wanted to catch readers up with is what I have been doing during these cold weeks! I am always up for conversation about what people are reading, watching, writing, and learning these days! I am reading Gone With the Wind.  I have been wanting to read this book since my doctor recommended it when I gave birth to my daughter, Scarlette, because that is the main character's name in the book.  Over the holiday, my christmas gift to myself was a KINDLE... an...

Journey In January

 Hi Readers! Happy Sunday. I hope everyone is having a relaxing morning and had a good weekend. My weekend was good. I have had plans to blog so I knew I would be posting this weekend. I went for coffee and ran into two friends there, picked my parents up from the airport, volunteered at NAMI, went to church, and went to grab dinner with my parents and brother and sister. This weeks blog I will be talking about my stay with my kids and my January plans for the New Year!  So I made it through the holidays! There were times when I was worried I wouldn't... honestly! My anxiousness was very high this year and now I feel better they are over! My New Year was nice... I spent it at my mom's with my aunt and two kids. I am excited about the January start of this year.  It will be all focused on mental health and God.  I started volunteering with NAMI and I will begin a parish renewal called The Search through my church.
