Coffee Shops and Current Reads

Image
Hi All! Happy Sunday! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.  I have stepped out of my comfort zone of the usual coffee shop I go to in Oswego called The Village Grind.  I have also tried the coffee shop called Grace Coffee Shop in Yorkville.  The new coffee shops I have tried are Graham's 318 Coffeehouse in Geneva and Green Joe Coffee Shop in Schaumburg. I will be on the quest for some other coffee shops to get me outside of the Oswego area for a while.   The current books I have finished are The Davinci Code by Dan Brown and Out At The Old Baseball Game by Bernie Bookbinder. They both were great reads. I have been taking a lot of book suggestions and will share what I am reading for those book lovers out there! There is still about a month left of summer! I will probably do a couple of nice walks while the weather is nice.  I am excited to get out to Washington to see my kids in October.  Stay tuned for my next post!  Love,  Trisha

August Writing

Hi Readers! I hope this blog post finds everyone well.  Those who are staying updated with me know that I have been going through a lot, however I am staying focused on writing.   My dad passed recently and I started writing more poetry to remember how beautiful life is.  I have been blessed to have a summer with my kids. We ate a lot and swam a lot! I am currently working as a teacher aid.  I have been teaching reading, math, science, etc. to elementary schoolers and middle schoolers. It has been a great opportunity to teach a class. I always wondered how it would be and now I am able to lead a class every now and then!  I will be volunteering at NAMI for at least the next year and am studying psychology. My next poetry book will be out soon.  Check out Pressed Impressions and Missed Mentions in the meantime!  With love, Trisha
